Vase No. 94 – from the series “Raumfänger (Space Catcher)” Handcrafted ceramic art made from high-quality Spanish clay This vase is a one-of-a-kind piece, created as part of my personal challenge: to craft 1000 unique vases. It bears the number 94 – the result of an intense exploration of form, texture, and stillness. Left raw on the outside and gently polished, the high-quality Spanish clay reveals itself in its purest presence – unglazed, matte, almost velvety. The interior is glazed up to about two-thirds of its height, and thanks to the dense, high-fired clay, the vase is completely waterproof. What makes it truly special are the fine, almost floating rings that subtly trace its surface – like orbits, like the quiet trails of a silent planet. The shape: soft, but not softening. Weightless and yet grounded. “Raumfänger” (Space Catcher) is the name of this series – vases that don’t just occupy space, but transform it.
